This event for Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, examined the framework we use for understanding resistance and challenged how we think of resistance in the Holocaust to include women and a feminist perspective. It is dedicated in memory of Sarah Silberstein Swartz, z”l, a writer and memoirist and HBI Holocaust Research Study Group member who recently passed away.
This recording is an excerpt of the program in which Sarah Silberstein Swartz's presentation is read by Ellie Kellman, Sarah's wife and Brandeis University Associate Professor of Yiddish.
